LUBBOCK, Texas (November 10, 2014) - Pasco-Hernando State College's women's cross country team brought home an 18th place in the NJCAA 5k race.
The course was challenging, the weather was cold and there were high winds but the ladies ran strong.
The team was led by sophomore Melody Yero finishing in 19:58 and freshman Angela Cruz finishing in 19:59.
This is the first time all season the ladies broke into the 19s.
Alyssa DeLigio was the third finisher for the team in 20:18. Rounding out the scoring were sophomore Kristen Dunlap in 20:43 and freshman Roxanna Caballero in 20:47. Samantha Martinez and Elise Cedre ran as sixth and seventh runners with times of 20:49 and 20:52.
The 18th place finish matches Pasco-Hernando State's 2013 finish.
