Pensacola State's Maddie Mire named NJCAA Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Pensacola State College's Maddie Mire was named the NJCAA Division II Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week on Wednesday.

 

Mire, a freshman defensive specialist from Mobile, Ala., averaged 5.7 digs over 18 sets. 

She posted at least 16 digs in each of the Pirates' five matches, including 24 vs. Enterprise (Ala.) State Community College and 27 vs. Calhoun (Ala.) Community College.

She was also charged with only one serve reception errors in 86 chances.

On Tuesday, Mire was named the Region 8 Division II Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.
