CHARLOTTE, N.C. (October 13, 2021) - Miami Dade College's Luisa Melloni has been named NJCAA Division I Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week.

Melloni, a freshman setter from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, averaged 10.8 assists over nine sets. She also averaged 0.4 kills, 1.9 digs and 0.7 blocks during the Sharks' three matches. 

Melloni posted a double-double (40 assists, 12 digs) vs. top-ranked Florida SouthWestern State College. 

She had her second 40+ assist match of the week with a season-high 45 vs. Hillsborough Community College. Melloni currently leads Region 8 and is 20th nationally with 9.04 assists/set.

Melloni was named NJCAA Region 8 Division I Volleyball Setter of the Week on Tuesday.
