TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (March 18, 2021) - The Florida College System Activities Association released its Division I Volleyball Tournament bracket on Thursday.
The 8-team, double-elimination event will take place Thursday, March 25-Sunday, March 28 at Florida State College at Jacksonville.
The bracket includes a pair of at-large selections, also selected on Thursday. Upon selecting the two at-large teams, the participating teams were seeded 1-8.
The at-large selections were awarded to Hillsborough Community College and Eastern Florida State College, who subsequently received the Nos. 7 and 8 seeds, respectively.
To no one's surprise, undefeated Miami Dade College, Southern Conference Champions and the nation's No. 1 team, received the top seed and will open the tournament against conference rival Eastern Florida State at 10 a.m., March 25.
Suncoast Conference Champion Florida SouthWestern State College and conference runners-up Polk State College, ranked No. 7 and 8, respectively, in the NJCAA poll, earned the Nos. 2 and 3 seeds, respectively.
A pair of Mid-Florida Conference foes, conference champion Santa Fe College and runners-up Daytona State College, are the Nos. 4 and 5 seeds, respectively.
Indian River State College, Southern Conference runners-up, is the No. 6 seed.
