TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (November 6, 2018) – The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) has released its final NJCAA Region 8 Division I and Division II Volleyball Player of the Week awards for games played October 29-November 4.

NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Division I Weekly Awards
Player of the Week: Tiziana Baumrukova, Miami Dade
So. – S | Prague, Czech Republic
 

  • Most Outstanding Player of the NJCAA District Tournament, where she led the two-time defending national champions through the loser’s bracket and to its third straight district championships
  • Averaged 10.3 assists and 2.4 digs in six matches
  • Post double-doubles (assists/digs) in her first three matches of the tournament – 44 assists/16 digs vs. Central Florida; 47 assists/12 digs vs. Florida State College-Jacksonville; 43 assists/14 digs vs. Indian Rive State
  • Had 50 assists in the district championship match vs. No. 2 Polk State

NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Division II Weekly Awards
Player of the Week: Emma Gray, Lake-Sumter State
So. – OH | Fruitland Park, Fla.
 

  • Most Outstanding Player of the NJCAA DII District P Tournament, helping Lake-Sumter State to the championship and its first-ever trip to the national tournament
  • Averaged 4.1 kills, 2.9 digs and posted a .302 hitting percentage in two matches
  • Posted double-doubles in each match – 14 kills and 11 digs vs. St. Johns River State and 27 kills and 18 digs vs. Pasco-Hernando State in the championship match
