Quistas soar, Panthers roar in latest NJCAA volleyball rankings

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (September 14, 2016) - Pasco-Hernando State College charged into the top ten of the NJCAA Division II Volleyball Poll on Wednesday. 

Behind a straight set win over previously undefeated and then-No. 3 Kansas City Kansas Community College, the Quistas soared ten spots to No. 7. 

Pasco-Hernando State wasn't the only big mover from Region 8 in this week's national rankings .

In the NJCAA Division I Volleyball Poll, Palm Beach State College went from unranked and receiving votes last week to No. 16.

The Panthers' entry gives Region 8 five teams in the NJCAA Division I poll. 

Polk State College, the top-ranked team in Region 8, remained at No. 3 for a second straight week while Suncoast Conference rival Hillsborough Community College dropped one spot to No. 6. 

The College of Central Florida remained at No. 10 and has Mid-Florida Conference rival, Daytona State College on its heels, just one spot back at No. 11. 

Santa Fe College received votes in this week's poll.
