TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (September 13, 2016) – The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) has released its NJCAA Region 8 Volleyball Coaches’ Poll for September 13 and Player, Defensive Player and Setter of the Week selections for matches played September 5-11.
The next poll and individual weekly awards will be released September 20.

NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Volleyball Player of the Week

- Led top-ranked Polk State to an undefeated week, posting a 4-0 record at the Blinn College Premier Tournament
- Averaged 4.6 kills, 0.5 assists, 0.6 service aces, 2.1 digs, 0.5 blocks and 5.5 points over 11 total sets
- Also posted a .505 hitting percentage
- Recorded double-digit kills in three of four matches, including 17 vs. both Monroe and Blinn; tallied 12 kills, four assists, four service aces and nine digs in a 3-0 win vs. NJCAA No. 7 Tyler

- Led Pasco-Hernando State to a 3-1 record in four matches during the voting period
- Averaged 3.8 digs over a total of 15 sets played
- Recorded double-digit digs in each match, including 16 vs. Kansas City

NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Volleyball Setter of the Week

- Helped Palm Beach State to a perfect 4-0 week
- Averaged 8.9 assists over four matches and 11 total sets
- Also averaged 0.6 kills, 1.7 digs and 0.5 blocks
- Posted a double-double, 48 assists and 12 digs in four-set win over Central Florida; also added 21 assists vs. Lake-Sumter State and 25 assists vs. State College of Florida
