TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (September 7, 2016) - Polk State College charged to the No. 3 ranking in the first NJCAA Division I Volleyball Poll of the regular season.

a sixth received votes and Pasco-Hernando State College landed in the NJCAA Division II Volleyball Poll.

Polk State, the No. 1 team in the Region 8 Coaches' Poll, climbed three spots in the poll to No. 3 after opening the season with a No. 6 ranking. 

Hillsborough Community College, ranked third in the preseason poll, dropped two spots to No. 5.

Two other Region 8 schools earned a national ranking - No. 10 College of Central Florida and No. 14 Daytona State College.

In the Division II poll, Pasco-Hernando State remained No. 17.
