NJCAA Region 8 Volleyball Notebook: October 11

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (October 11, 2016) – The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) has released its NJCAA Region 8 Volleyball Coaches’ Poll for October 11 and Player, Defensive Player and Setter of the Week selections for matches played October 3-9.

The next poll and individual weekly awards will be released October 18.

NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Volleyball Player of the Week

  • Led Central Florida to a 3-1 victory over Daytona State in a battle of nationally-ranked teams
  • Recorded a double-double in the victory, 31 assists and 15 digs; also credited with three kills and two service aces
  • Posted a .750 hitting percentage in the match

  • Led Lake-Sumter State to a 3-0 win over Florida State College in its only match of the week
  • Recorded a double-double in the victory, 27 assists and 14 digs; also credited with two kills and one service ace
  • Posted a .500 hitting percentage in the match
