FCSAA Volleyball Notebook: September 22

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (September 22, 2015) – The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) has released its Volleyball Coaches' Poll and Player, Defensive Player and Setter of the Week selections for September 22.

The next poll will be released September 29.

NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Volleyball Player of the Week

  • Lead Polk State to three wins in four matches in which she appeared, including triumphs over FCSAA No. 7 Daytona State, FCSAA No. 3/NJCAA No. 18 Santa Fe and NJCAA No. 13 San Jacinto
  • Averaged 5.7 kills, 4.1 digs, 0.5 assists, 0.3 service aces, 0.3 blocks and 6.1 points per set (15 total sets) while tallying a .314 hitting percentage
  • Recorded double-doubles in all four of her matches, including 24 kills and 17 digs vs. Santa Fe (9/18/15) and 23 kills and 18 digs vs. San Jacinto (9/19/15)
  • Currently leads Region 8 in kills per set (4.3) and kills (225)

  • Helped the Quistas to a pair of wins over Region 8 D1 opponents
  • Averaged 7.1 digs over 17 sets played in five matches
  • Recorded at least 18 digs in each match, including three entries into the 25-Dig Club – 33 vs. Hillsborough, 26 vs. Broward and 25 vs. South Florida State
  • Currently leads Region 8 in both digs (327) and digs per set (6.96)

  • Helped Central Florida to a 3-0 record, including wins over NJCAA No. 6 Missouri State-West Plains and No. 13 San Jacinto
  • Averaged 13.2 assists over three matches and 12 total sets. Also averaged 1.8 digs, 0.7 kills, and 0.3 blocks while tallying a .333 hitting percentage
  • Recorded 42+ assists in all three matches, including consecutive 58-assist efforts vs. Missouri State-West Plains and San Jacinto. Added 13 digs for a double-double vs. San Jacinto.
  • Leads the NJCAA in assists/set (11.6) and is the Region 8 leader in assists (628)
