Pasco-Hernando State's Teddi Wright named NJCAA Volleyball Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (September 16, 2015) - Pasco-Hernando State College's Teddi Wright has been named the NJCAA's Division II Volleyball Player of the Week.

Wright was named the NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Setter of the Week on Tuesday.

A sophomore from Lutz, Fla., Wright averaged 12.1 assists over five matches last week, leading the Quistas to a 4-1 record, including a 3-0 win over NJCAA (DII) No. 14 Catawba Valley (N.C.) Community College.

Wright recorded three 40+ assist efforts during the week - 46 vs. Santa Fe College, 42 vs. Colorado Northwestern Community College and 49 vs. Cape Fear (N.C.) Community College. She was also double-digits in digs in all but one of the five matches. 

Wright currently leads Region 8 and is fourth nationally in DII in assists/set (11.4). 

She also averaged 4.2 digs, 0.2 kills, 0.4 services aces and 0.5 blocks while tallying a .571 hitting percentage in last week's matches.
