Palm Beach State leads quintet from Region 8 in NJCAA volleyball poll

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (September 10, 2015) - The first regular season NJCAA volleyball polls were released on Thursday.

Palm Beach State College, the No. 1 team in this week's FCSAA Volleyball Coaches' Poll, leads a strong contingent from Region 8 in the NJCAA Division I Volleyball Poll. The Panthers are ranked No. 9, the highest ranking of any team not ranked in the preseason national poll. 

Two more teams from Region 8 immediately follow Palm Beach State - No. 10 State College of Florida and No. 11 Hillsborough Community College. State College of Florida and Hillsborough are ranked No. 2 and No. 3, respectively in this week's FCSAA poll.

A pair of Mid-Florida Conference rivals round out Region 8's presence in the national poll - No. 16 College of Central Florida and No. 20 Santa Fe College. 

Indian River State College and Polk State College both received votes.

In the NJCAA Division II poll, Pasco-Hernando State College received votes.
