TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (November 4, 2014) – The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) has released its Volleyball Coaches’ Poll and Player of the Week recipients for November 4.
This marks the final coaches’ poll and player of the week selections for 2014.

NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Volleyball Player of the Week
Joely Cabrera, Daytona State
Sophomore – OH
Seca, Puerto Rico
Daytona State College’s Joely Cabrera is this week's NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Volleyball Player of the Week. Cabrera, a sophomore from Seca, Puerto Rico, averaged 4.0 kills, 0.5 service aces, 5.0 digs and 0.3 blocks over seven sets and two matches during the voting period. She played an instrumental role in leading the Falcons to a pair of victories, including a Mid-Florida Conference playoff win over Florida State College at Jacksonville on October 28. Against the Blue Wave, she recorded 17 kills and 24 digs in a 3-1 win that punched Daytona State’s ticket to the FCSAA Tournament. Two days later against St. Petersburg, she posted another double-double – 11 kills and 11 digs.
NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Volleyball Defensive Player of the
Week
Rossanna Ramos, Polk State
Sophomore – L
Bayamon, Puerto Rico
Polk State College’s Rossanna Ramos is this week's NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week. Ramos, a sophomore from Bayamon, P.R., averaged 4.8 digs over 10 sets and three matches during the voting period. Ramos recorded 15 digs against Eastern Florida State (October 27) then stamped her named in the 25 Dig Club for the sixth time with a 26-dig effort against Central Florida on October 29.
