CHARLOTTE, N.C. (September 7, 2022) - The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has announced its Player of the Week recipients for September 7 and Region 8 grabbed its first women's soccer award of the season.
Daytona State College's Allison Worley was named NJCAA Division I Women's Soccer Player of the Week for matches played between August 29 and September 4.
Worley, a sophomore forward from Melbourne, Fla., scored four goals in two matches, both victories for the nationally-ranked Falcons.
She scored twice in Daytona State's 5-0 win over Southwestern Illinois on September 2. She added two more goals two days later in a 9-0 win against USC-Lancaster.
Worley currently has scored seven goals in four matches for a total of 14 points.
Following a pair of shutout wins, @DSCWSOCCER climbed to No. 18 in the latest poll.
