EFSC women's soccer team punches ticket to national tournament

The Eastern Florida State College women's soccer team advanced to the NJCAA Division I National Tournament Saturday.

The Titans, who are ranked No. 3 in the national poll, beat Gordon State College 3-0 in the South Atlantic District final to advance to the national tournament for the 10th straight time.
 
Sophomore Julieta Limardo scored on a pass from Kurumi Arakawa 32 minutes and five seconds into the game to put the Titans on the board.
 
Brazil Clark found the back of the net on a corner kick from Alba Alvarez early in the second half to make it 2-0 and with time winding down Limardo made it 3-0 on a corner kick by Alvarez.
 
Goalkeeper Marcelle Thedinga had one big save in the win.
 
Eastern Florida State College has won the district title the past nine seasons.
