Seedings, pairings announced for NJCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. (November 11, 2014) - Eastern Florida State College’s women’s soccer team has earned the number three seed for the NJCAA Division I Women’s National Championship Soccer Tournament to be played November 17-22 on the Melbourne Campus.

The Titans, 12-1, will play their pool games at 7 p.m. Monday and Wednesday.

The four pool winners advance to Friday’s 5 and 8 p.m. semifinals. The championship game is 7 p.m. Saturday, November 22.

The tournament seeding is as follows:

  2. Monroe (N.Y.) College (15-1)
  3. Eastern Florida State College (12-1)
  4. Otero (Colo.) Junior College (13-1-2)  
  5. Navarro (Texas) College (14-4-1)
  6. Darton (Ga.) State College (16-2)
  7. Pima (Ariz.) Community College (16-4-2)  
  8. Butler (Kan.) Community College (15-4-3)
  9. Harford (Mary.) Community College (14-3-1)
  10. St. Charles (Mo.) Community College (14-4)
  11. Owens (Ohio) Community College (13-4-2)
  12. Waubonsee (Ill.) Community College (14-3-2) 

The schedule is as follows:

Monday, November 17

  • 10 a.m., Waubonsee vs. Iowa Western
  • 1 p.m., Harford vs. Otero
  • 4 p.m., Owens vs. Monroe
  • 7 p.m., St Charles vs. Eastern Florida State

Tuesday, November 18

  • 10 a.m., Waubonsee vs. Butler
  • 1 p.m., Harford vs. Navarro
  • 4 p.m., Owens vs. Pima
  • 7 p.m., St Charles vs. Darton State

Wednesday, November 19

  • 10 a.m., Butler vs. Iowa Western
  • 1 p.m., Navarro vs. Otero
  • 4 p.m., Pima vs. Monroe
  • 7 p.m., Darton State vs. Eastern Florida State

All games will be webcast at www.njcaatv.com and the Saturday final also will be telecast live on WEFS-TV.

Admission prices are: Tournament pass all-matches: Adult, $35. Students, $15. Individual match admission: Adult, $10. Students, $7. Children 5 and under, free. Also EFSC student, faculty and staff will be admitted free with school ID.

Parking will be in the new lot just north of the soccer facility. Concessions and restrooms are on site.

The pre-tournament banquet will be held beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday, November 16 at the Maxwell C. King Center for the Performing Arts on the Eastern Florida Campus. University of North Carolina assistant women’s soccer coach Jason Sisneros is the guest speaker

The admission charge for the banquet for family and/or friends of the teams is $15 per person.
