DUNCAN, S.C. (April 18, 2023) - Seminole State College won a second consecutive NJCAA District 5 Championship on Tuesday.

Eight schools were represented, though only four qualified for team scoring in the two-day event held at River Falls Plantation in Duncan, S.C.

The three-time defending national champion Raiders (there was not a 2020 tournament due to COVID) shot a 303 in Round 1 and a 304 in Round 2 to finish at +31 for the tournament, 13 shots better than Region 8 rival Eastern Florida State College (+44).

The Titans made school history with its runner-up finish, automatically qualifying for the NJCAA Division I Women's Golf Championships for the first time after earning an at-large bid to the 2022 tournament. Eastern Florida State shot a 307 in Round 2 to surge past Daytona State College, who finished +47.

Daytona State is likely to advance to nationals as well, but will have to wait on an at-large invitation.

The Falcons boasted the top individual performer, Madison Tenore, who finished +3. The top 13 individual finishers came from the trio of Region 8 schools.
