MESA, AR (May 18, 2018) – After four days of competition at the Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona, Daytona State College claimed their tenth title in 16 seasons at the NJCAA Women's Golf National Championships.

The Falcons scored 1152 over four rounds to finish even par, besting runners-up Seminole State College by 40 strokes. This score also set a new NJCAA national championship four round event record besting the prior low score of 1176 posted by Redlands Community College back in 2012.

Daytona State and Seminole State dominated the event, claiming 10 of the top 19 individual finishers, including the top six to sweep NJCAA First-team All-America honors.

The Falcons' Jiwon Jeon and Grace St.-Germain each shot -8 through 72 holes to force a sudden-death playoff. On the third playoff hole, Jeon claimed the individual title with a birdie while St.-Germain parred the hold.

Jeon and St.-Germain were joined on the All-America first-team by Seminole State's Tuan-Yu Chiang (3rd) and Worapitcha Anudit (4th) and Daytona State's Hollie Muse (5th) and Kendall Johnson (6th).

Seminole State's Karntida Thantamnu (8th) and Samantha Brimhall (T-11th) and Daytona State's Alison Crenshaw (10th) were second-team All-America selections while Seminole State's Alexandra Naumovski (T-17th) was named Honorable Mention All-America.
