CHARLOTTE, N.C. (February 9, 2022) - Eastern Florida State College's Rapuluchi Ngorka captured her second NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week award on Wednesday.

This also marks the fifth time Region 8 has captured the honor during the 2021-22 season.

On Wednesday, Eastern Florida State College's Rapuluchi Ngorka was honored by the NJCAA for her performance between January 10-16.

Ngorka, a freshman forward from Madrid, Spain, averaged 11.5 points, 20.5 rebounds, 1.0 assist, 1.0 steal and 0.5 blocks in two games last week. She shot 41.2 percent (7-of-17) from the field. 

Ngorka recorded double-doubles in both games, wins against Central Conference foes Daytona State College and St. Petersburg College. 

Against Daytona State, she posted 11 points and 20 rebounds then followed that with a 12-point, 21-rebound effort - her straight 20+ rebound game - against St. Petersburg.
