CHARLOTTE, N.C. (January 20, 2022) - For the fourth time this season, the NJCAA's Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week hails from Region 8.

On Wednesday, Eastern Florida State College's Rapuluchi Ngorka was honored by the NJCAA for her performance between January 10-16.

Ngorka, a freshman forward from Madrid, Spain, averaged 16.5 points, 14.5 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 3.0 blocks in two games, leading the Titans to Central Conference victories against Santa Fe College and Daytona State College.

She shot 61.1 percent (11-of-18) from the floor and 64.7 percent (11-of-17) from the free throw line.

Ngorka recorded double-doubles in both games: 18 points and 17 rebounds vs. Santa Fe; 15 points and 12 rebounds vs. Daytona State. 

She joins two-time recipient Aleisha Curry from Santa Fe and Gulf Coast State College's Morgan Robinson as NJCAA Player of the Week honorees from Region 8 in 2021-22.
