CHARLOTTE, N.C. (December 15, 2021) - Gulf Coast State College's Morgan Robinson has been named the NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Robinson, a sophomore guard from Atlanta, Ga., averaged 24.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 2.0 steals and 0.3 blocks in three games. 

She shot 54.4 percent (25-of-46) from the field, 55.6 percent (5-of-9) from three and 85.0 percent (17-of-20) from the free throw line while leading the Commodores to a 3-0 week against Region 8 oppoents, including a win at #11 Florida SouthWestern State College.

Robinson posted 27 points, eight rebounds and two assists in the 80-68 win vs. FSW. Prior to that, she scored 19 points and pulled down nine rebounds in a 73-62 win vs. Miami Dade College then had 26 points and five boards in a 70-62 win vs. Indian River State College.

Robinson was named NJCAA Region 8 Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday.
