HIALEAH, FL – From the day he was named ASA Miami's women's basketball coach, head coach Kevin Johnson said he wanted to change the culture of the Lady Silver Storm's program – cultivating a culture that rewards hard work and dedication and eliminates futility.

The changes are becoming more and more tangible as the Lady Silver Storm continue to play a better brand of basketball, including another record-setting performance Monday night in a 78-40 win over visiting Trinity College at The Dent.

ASA Miami (3-6) set records for largest margin of victory (38), lowest field goal percentage allowed (25.8 percent), lowest three-point percentage allowed (5.9 percent), largest halftime lead (33), total rebounds (60), and extended its program-best mark for wins in a season – which increases with each victory this season.

Also, Monday's victory – ASA's second over Trinity in the past two and half weeks – came in the Lady Silver Storm's first home game of the season. Having played their first eight games on the road, Coach Johnson said that playing on their home floor was just what the doctor ordered for his team.

"It definitely felt good to come home, play in front of our home fans, and get a victory," Johnson said. "We had a tough road trip recently and we needed to come home and play a solid game tonight."

Aside from the team records, ASA transfer sophomore G'Torria Swinton broke the program record for rebounds in a game – snatching down 20 boards (6 offensive and 14 defensive) to go along with 10 points, three steals and two assists. Swinton's performance on the boards Monday also represented the third consecutive game in which she's pulled down double-digit rebounds.

Swinton was also one of four Lady Silver Storm players to finish with at least 10 points Monday in a game that opened with a 15-0 ASA run and saw the team open a 27-3 lead midway through the second quarter.

Sophomore transfer Ta'Kyla Austin turned in her best performance in an ASA Miami uniform Monday, finishing with a game-high 20 points (7-of-14 from the field and 5-of-8 from three-point range) in 24 minutes of work off the bench. The Oakland Park Northeast High School alum flashed the talent Monday that led to her being named the Miami Herald Player of the Year during her high school career.

Freshman guard Amiyah Harley added 17 points, a game-high five steals, three rebounds and three assists while freshman Lashayla Johnson added 14 points. Sophomore Mackenzie Sadaka left her fingerprints all over the game without recording a single point – dishing out seven assists, grabbing eight rebounds, and blocking a shot without committing a turnover in 22 minutes. Freshman Desnee Johnson did a bit of everything, too – totaling eight points, five assists, four rebounds, and three steals.

Trinity College, a four-year school near New Port Richey, Florida, never really threatened the Silver Storm after falling into the early hole. Trinity only got as close as 28 points and didn't score over the final three minutes of the game.

Up Next: ASA Miami will have a few days off before going on a 10-hour road trip to Niceville, Florida to play two games in two days against nationally-ranked Northwest Florida State College (Dec. 7) and Pearl River Community College (Dec. 8).
