TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (December 1, 2016) – After a two-year hiatus, the Florida College's Women's Basketball Shootout is back! 

The ninth rendition of the event, featuring 17 of the 18 teams in NJCAA Region 8, will take place Thursday, December 1 through Saturday, December 3. This year's event is hosted by the Panhandle Conference, with games taking place at Chipola College/Marianna, Fla, and Tallahassee Community College. 

The event tips off at 5:30 p.m. Thursday with a single game – Florida State College at Jacksonville at Tallahassee, a game that is part of a doubleheader with the Tallahassee men. 

The Shootout gets underway in earnest on Friday with four games at both sites, beginning at 1 p.m. eastern in Tallahassee when Florida State College at Jacksonville plays Pensacola State College. Friday's first game in Marianna tips at 1 p.m. central with Eastern Florida State College facing Hillsborough Community College. 

Four more games will take place at each site on Saturday. 

General admission is $5 daily per site. Admission for college coaches is $100 and includes a Shootout Packet. 

The Florida College's Men's Basketball Shootout will take place December 10-11 at the College of Central Florida/Ocala, Fla., and Santa Fe College/Gainesville, Fla.
