CHARLOTTE, N.C. (April 20, 2022) - The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) announced its Player of the Week awards on Wednesday and Florida SouthWestern State College's Baylee Haggard was named Division I Softball Pitcher of the Week.
Haggard, a sophomore right-hander from Naples, Fla., went 3-0 with 0.00 ERA in three appearances last week.
She tossed complete-game shutouts vs. Polk State and Hillsborough and was credited with the win in the Bucs' 17-1 victory over St. Petersburg.
In 18 total innings in the circle, she allowed 12 hits, one run (unearned) and six walks while striking out 11.
Haggard was named the NJCAA Region 8 Softball Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday.
