CF's Devyn Howard named NJCAA DI Softball Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (February 13, 2020) - The College of Central Florida's Devyn Howard was named NJCAA Division I Softball Player of the Week on Wednesday.

Howard, a sophomore third baseman from Tarpon Springs, Fla., batted .435 (20-for-46) with 10 runs scored, eight doubles, one triple, two home runs, 28 RBI and two stolen bases in 13 games during the voting period. 

Howard has helped the Patriots to a 13-0 start to the season.

She hit safely in 11 of the 13 games and had six multi-hit and six multi-RBI games. Most notably, she was 2-for-3 with a home run and five RBI vs. Miami Dade and 3-for-3 with three doubles and six RBI vs. State College of Florida. 

Howard was named the NJCAA Region 8 Softball Player of the Week on Tuesday.
