COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (April 6 , 2016) - Florida SouthWestern State College earned the program's first national ranking in this week's National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) @MarucciSports Division I Softball Poll.
The Buccaneers, ranked No. 4 in the Region 8 Softball Coaches' Poll, swung into the national rankings at No. 15 after receiving votes last week. The Bucs are currently riding a 20-game winning streak.
Florida SouthWestern is one of five teams from Region 8 in this week's poll.
The College of Central Florida continues to sit atop the rankings while two other schools made gains inside the top five.
Indian River State College and Northwest Florida State College both moved up one spot to Nos. 3 and 4, respectively.
Chipola College is ranked No. 20.
