COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (March 18, 2015) - The College of Central Florida is ranked No. 1 for the second straight week but the Patriots are far from alone near the top of the national softball rankings.

Region 8 placed an astounding four teams in the top six of this week's Marucci NJCAA Division I Softball Poll. 

In addition to top-ranked Central Florida, the Patriots' Mid-Florida Conference Rival, Seminole State College, is ranked No. 3. Indian River State College is fifth and defending state champion Tallahassee Community College is sixth. 

Chipola College joined the national rankings at No. 15 and St. Johns River State College received votes. 

Those same six schools, in the exact same order, are ranked 1-6 in the FCSAA Softball Coaches' Poll. Tallahassee and Chipola share the No. 4 ranking.
