COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (August 19, 2015) - In the initial rankings of the 2015-16 athletic season, Eastern Florida State College cracked the top five in both the NJCAA Division I Men's and Women's Soccer Polls.

In the men's poll, Eastern Florida State, the defending Region 8 champion, earned a No. 4 ranking. Defending national champion Tyler (Texas) Junior College enters the season with the top ranking followed by Iowa Western Community College and Monroe (N.Y.) College.

The Titans finished the 2014 season with a 13-3-1 record, falling to Louisburg (N.C.) College, 1-0, in the Region 8/10 Championship.

Eastern Florida State swept three games from Broward College last fall to claim the Region 8 title. Those two schools will be joined by Region 8 newcomer ASA College Miami this fall.

Broward earned votes in the NJCAA's preseason poll.

Meanwhile, in the women's poll, Eastern Florida State received the No. 3 preseason ranking, behind only top-ranked Monroe (N.Y.) College and Iowa Western Community College.

The Titans finished the 2014 season at 13-1-2 and reached the NJCAA Division I national semifinal.
