Eastern Florida State golfers finish fourth

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. (November 11, 2014) - Eastern Florida State College’s men's golf team wrapped up its fall season with a fourth-place finish in the NJCAA District 4 Preview in Alexander City, Ala. 

Eastern Florida State shot 298 on Tuesday to go with Monday’s 312 for a total of 610.

Host Central Alabama won with 301-298-599. Wallace State of Alabama and Darton State of Georgia tied for second with 311-295-606 and 305-301-606 respectively.

Freshman Mickey DeMorat led EFSC with a 36-hole total of 78-71-149. Sophomore Drew Cooke shot 73-79-152; freshman Kerry Sweeney shot 80-73-153; sophomore Brad Gray 81-76-157 and freshman Corey Herman 82-78-160.

EFSC recorded three-second place tournament finishes this fall to go with Tuesday’s fourth-place effort. It also scored a head-to-head victory over Florida Tech in the Collegiate Players Cup.
