Florida SouthWestern's Lindsay named NJCAA Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The NJCAA announced its weekly award winners on Wednesday and Florida SouthWestern State College's Dezdrick Lindsay was named Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Lindsay, a sophomore forward from Louisville, Ky., averaged 34.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.5 steals in two games. 

He shot 67.5 percent (27-of-40) from the field, 72.7 percent (8-of-11) from three and 60.0 percent (6-of-10) from the free throw line.

Lindsay posted back-to-back 30-point games against Indian River State College and Daytona State College.

He tallied 30 points on 12-of-18 shooting and pulled down seven rebounds vs. Indian River State. Then, against No. 4 Daytona State, he hit 15-of-22 shots and finished with a double-double (38 points, 13 rebounds). 

Lindsay was named NJCAA Region 8 Division I Player of the Week on Tuesday.
