HIALEAH, FL – Redshirt sophomore guard Matt Maturah scored a game-high 21 points – which was sparked by his going a perfect 3-for-3 from the three-point line in the second half – as ASA Miami was able to stave off a pesky Game Changers Academy team and pick up a 69-63 victory Wednesday night at The Dent.

Maturah ended up knocking down five three-pointers Wednesday – including a deep corner shot from long range at the first half buzzer which allowed the Silver Storm to take a 30-29 lead – while also nabbing seven steals, grabbing three rebounds and dishing out a pair of assists.

Wednesday's victory snapped a three-game losing streak for the Silver Storm (1-3) and gave ASA its first home win of the season.

In addition to Maturah's big night, the Silver Storm got 16 points and six rebounds from Marko Jovanovic as well as 10 points and eight rebounds from Jonathan Vilchez off the bench.

Despite clinging to a 1-point lead at halftime, ASA Miami fell behind by as many as seven in the second half before a combination of Maturah's hot shooting and timely buckets by Brandon Stewart and Vilchez paced a Silver Storm run and allowed them to pull away in the final minutes.

Up Next: ASA Miami will hit the road to play a treacherous stretch of four games in five days – beginning Friday at Florida Gateway College.
