For the second time this season, Eastern Florida State College's Kareem Brewton has been named the NJCAA Division I men's basketball player of the week.

Brewton scored a career-high 38 points, had 13 assists and nine rebounds in his final game at Titan Field House, leading the Titans to a 117-86 victory over Miami Dade.

The sophomore from Claxton, Ga. is the only Division I player to earn the honor twice this season as he also was named the player of the week in December. For the season, Brewton is averaging 20.9 points per game which is second in Region 8.

Brewton and the Titans will travel to Ocala March 9-11 to compete in the Region 8 Men's Basketball Championship tournament. The winner will advance to the national tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas.
