CHARLOTTE, N.C. (May 10, 2023) - St. Johns River State College's Aiden Mastentuno was named NJCAA Division II Baseball Player of the Week on Wednesday.

Mastentuno, a sophomore first baseman from Fleming Island, Fla., was named Most Outstanding Player at last weekend's FCSAA Division II Baseball Championships, where his efforts helped the Vikings to their first FCSAA Championship in school history. 

Mastentuno batted .667 (6-for-9) with five runs scored, three doubles, two home runs and five RBI in three games. 

He homered twice and drove in four runs in St. Johns River's opening round win vs. Palm Beach State College.

In a battle of nationally-ranked teams, he was 3-for-5, doubled twice and scored three times vs. Pasco-Hernando State College.  

Mastentuno and the Vikings will host the NJCAA Division II South Atlantic District Championship Series beginning at 6 p.m. Friday in Palatka, Fla.
