CHARLOTTE, N.C. (March 16, 2022) - The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) announced its Player of the Week awards on Wednesday and the College of Central Florida's Caleb Cali was named Division I Baseball Player of the Week.
Cali, a freshman third baseman from Montverde, Fla., batted .833 (5-for-6) with four runs scored, three doubles, one home run (1.833 slugging percentage), seven RBI and five walks (.909 on-base percentage) in three games last week.
He sit safely in each of the three games, all wins against Mid-Florida Conference foes.
In his biggest outing of the week, Cali homered and drove in five runs in a 12-2 win against Daytona State.
He was named NJCAA Region 8 Baseball Player of the Week on Tuesday.
