LAKELAND, Fla. (May 9, 2021) - Miami Dade College knocked off Santa Fe College, 10-5, on Mother's Day to capture the FCSAA State Baseball Championship and punch its ticket to Grand Junction and the JUCO World Series as the NJCAA South Atlantic District Champion.

This marks the Sharks' first championship since 2014.

Miami Dade scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth to put away the Saints, who had won four straight elimination games, including one earlier on Sunday, since an opening round loss to Northwest Florida State College.

In a rematch, Santa Fe beat Northwest Florida State, 5-0, in Sunday's first game behind lefty pitcher Robb Adams' complete-game no-hitter.

Adams was named the Bob Perky Pitcher of the Tournament.

Miami Dade's Erick Orbeta received the Bob Zelinski Most Valuable Player of the Award while Sharks' head coach Adrian Morales was named FCSAA Coach of the Year.
