LAKELAND, Fla. (May 12, 2016) - The 2016 NJCAA Gulf District/FCSAA State Baseball Tournament begins Sunday, May 15 at Henley Field in Lakeland, Fla.

The double-elimination tournament begins at 10 a.m. with Broward College taking on Gulf Coast State College. The championship game is slated for Friday, May 20 at 10 a.m. with the "if" game scheduled for 10 a.m. the following day. 

The 10-team field is headlined by the nation's No. 1 team, Santa Fe College, and includes defending national champion Northwest Florida State College. 

Also in the field are St. Johns River State College, the College of Central Florida, St. Petersburg College, Eastern Florida State College, Polk State College and Chipola College.

In addition to Santa Fe, St. Johns River State, Polk State and Chipola bring national rankings into the tournament.
