HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - For the third consecutive season, Palm Beach State College is your NJCAA National Champion in beach volleyball.
On Saturday, the Panthers emerged in an All-FCSAA final, beating State College of Florida, 3-0.
Palm Beach State didn't lose a set in Huntsville en route to the title, beating both Mesa (Ariz.) Community College and Richard Bland (Va.) College, 5-0, then winning by decision against Wake Technical (N.C.) Community College, Mesa and State College of Florida, all by a 3-0 score.
State College of Florida punched its ticket to the championship match with a 3-2 win over FCSAA rival Lake-Sumter State College in Saturday's semifinal round. The win avenged a 3-2 loss to the Lakehawks earlier in the tournament.
As a result, Lake-Sumter moved into the third-place match, where they lost to Mesa and finished fourth.
Palm Beach State's Sophia Soderberg and Jasmine Rayner were named the Pair of the Tournament and Drew Colvin was named Coach of the Tournament.
The Panthers finished the season with a record of 26-6.
