TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (October 14, 2015) - The race for Region 8's berths in the NJCAA postseason is heating up.

As teams near the home stretch of the regular season, Eastern Florida State College has emerged as the dominant women's team. The Titans, who continue to hold down the top spot in the NJCAA Division I Women's Soccer Poll, are a perfect 9-0 overall and 2-0 in Region 8 play and are coming off two wins in which they outscored their opponents 31-0.

Broward College is 4-2-1 overall and has yet to play a Region 8 contest while Polk State College is 2-7 overall and 0-2 in region play.

In men's action, Eastern Florida, Broward and first-year program ASA Miami are in a three-team dual to grab Region 8's postseason berth.

Eastern Florida State has been nationally ranked all season and currently sits at No. 8 in the NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer Poll. The Titans, however, are receiving a stiff challenge from the ASA Silver Storm.

Both teams are 1-1-1 in Region 8 play, although ASA (1-5-1) boasts a win and tie in its first two meetings with the Titans (8-1-1).

Broward (6-3-1) currently stands 1-1 in region play.
