COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (February 3, 2016) - There's a new number one team in this week's NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball Poll. 

Gulf Coast State College, the only undefeated team in the top ten, leapfrogged Trinity Valley (Texas) Community College and now sits atop the national rankings. The Lady Commodores are also ranked No. 1 in the Region 8 Women's Basketball Coaches' Poll. 

In addition to Gulf Coast State, two other teams from Region 8 continue to be ranked in the top six - No. 3 Daytona State College and No. 6 Chipola College. 

Northwest Florida State College is also ranked, coming in at No. 17. 

In the NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Poll, Northwest Florida State is still ranked in the top ten, although the Raiders did drop three spots to No. 8. 

Eastern Florida State College climbed two spots to No. 11 while Palm Beach State College dropped two spots to No. 19. The College of Central Florida received votes.
