Indian River State competes at Craigie Invitational

Meet Results

FT. PIERCE, Fla. (February 10, 2015) - The Indian River State College men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed in their final regular season competition this past weekend by hosting the 2015 Stanton C. Craigie Invitational.

The meet was a great opportunity for the athletes to fine tune their specialty events while also having the opportunity to race in other events they would not normally compete in.

Indian River State's women won 11 of the 13 events contested, with team season best times coming from Rebecca Halfast in the 200 freestyle, and Tayla Lovemore in the 100 backstroke. On the men’s side, The River also won 11 of the 13 events with team season best times coming from Quinn Poti in the 200 and 500 freestyle, Stefan Stojmenovic in the 100 butterfly, and Brandon Thoman in the 200 butterfly.

No team scores were kept.

The swimming and diving teams will now look towards the NJCAA National Championships which will be hosted by Indian River State, March 4-7, 2015, in Buffalo, N.Y.
