TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida College System Activities Association has released its weekly coaches' polls and announced its Weekly Awards in basketball.
November 27, 2023 Coaches' Polls
Region 8 Players of the Week Awards (for games November 20-26)
Congratulations to the following student-athletes who received Player of the Week recognition:
- Region 8 DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week: Mostapha El Moutaouakkil, Indian River State
- Region 8 DII Men's Basketball Player of the Week: Jaiden Wynn, Palm Beach State
- Region 8 Women's Basketball Player of the Week: Jasmine Jones, Chipola
All Player of the Week honorees will be considered for NJCAA Player of the Week honors, which will be announced Wednesday.

Winter Sports Updates
- Men's Basketball
- Division I: Chipola College moved up two spots to No. 5, joining No. 1 Northwest Florida State College in the top five of the NJCAA DI Poll. Daytona State College is still No. 10, and Eastern Florida State College moved up one spot to No. 22. Indian River State College and Florida SouthWestern State College received votes.
- Division II: Palm Beach State College received votes in the NJCAA DII Poll.
- Women's Basketball
- Division I: Northwest Florida State continues to sit atop the NJCAA DI Poll. Gulf Coast State College remained No. 5 while Pensacola State College moved up one spot to No. 8. Chipola and Eastern Florida State are Nos. 20 and 23, respectively.
- Division II: Palm Beach State held its spot at No. 19 in the NJCAA DII Poll.
