TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida College System Activities Association has released its weekly coaches' polls and announced its Weekly Awards in basketball.

Region 8 Players of the Week Awards (for games December 4-10)
Congratulations to the following student-athletes who received Player of the Week recognition:
- Region 8 DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week: Dominic Gooden, Hillsborough
- Region 8 DII Men's Basketball Player of the Week: Jaiden Wynn, Palm Beach State
- Region 8 Women's Basketball Player of the Week: Savannah McAfee, Palm Beach State
All Player of the Week honorees will be considered for NJCAA Player of the Week honors, which will be announced Wednesday.

Winter Sports Updates
- Men's Basketball
- Division I: Daytona State College and Northwest Florida State College each moved up one spot to Nos. 3 and 4, respectively, in the NJCAA DI Poll. Chipola College sits at No. 14 while Eastern Florida State College and Indian River State College also moved up one spot each to Nos. 19 and 20, respectively.
- Women's Basketball
- Division I: There was no change for the FCSAA's top three teams in the NJCAA DI Poll: Northwest Florida State is No. 1 followed by No. 4 Gulf Coast State College and No. 7 Pensacola State College. Chipola moved up one spot to No. 19 and Eastern Florida State stayed put at No. 22.
- Division II: Palm Beach State held its spot at No. 19 in the NJCAA DII Poll.
