TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (September 14, 2021) - The Florida College System Activities Association has released its weekly coaches' polls and announced its Player of the Week Awards in Volleyball and Men's and Women's Cross Country.

Region 8 Players of the Week Awards (for all events/matches September 6-12)
Congratulations to the following student-athletes who received Player of the Week recognition:
- Region 8 DI Volleyball Player of the Week: Romina Cornelio, Miami Dade
- Region 8 DI Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week: Deborah Ribero, Florida SouthWestern
- Region 8 DI Volleyball Setter of the Week: Fiona Baker, Florida SouthWestern
- Region 8 DII Volleyball Player of the Week: Sarah Duckett, Gulf Coast State
- Region 8 DII Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week: Darlenis Medina, Palm Beach State
- Region 8 DII Volleyball Setter of the Week: Mone Gordon, St. Johns River State
- Men's Cross Country: Andy Martinez, Daytona State
- Women's Cross Country: Harleigh Crist, Daytona State
All Player of the Week honorees will be considered for NJCAA Player of the Week honors, which be announced Wednesday.
