TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (October 26, 2021) - The Florida College System Activities Association has released its weekly coaches' polls and announced its Player of the Week Awards in Volleyball and Men's and Women's Cross Country.

Region 8 Players of the Week Awards (for all events/matches October 18-24)
Congratulations to the following student-athletes who received Player of the Week recognition:
- Region 8 DI Volleyball Player of the Week: Maria Petkova, Florida SouthWestern
- Region 8 DI Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week: Cydnee Eubanks, Santa Fe
- Region 8 DI Volleyball Setter of the Week: Elena Bullemer, Hillsborough
- Region 8 DII Volleyball Player of the Week: Xiomara Williams, Lake-Sumter State
- Region 8 DII Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week: Mikayla Simmons, Lake-Sumter State
- Region 8 DII Volleyball Setter of the Week: Kayla Chambliss, Lake-Sumter State
- Men's Cross Country: no runners participated
- Women's Cross Country: no runners participated
All Player of the Week honorees will be considered for NJCAA Player of the Week honors, which be announced Wednesday.
