TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (October 19, 2021) - The Florida College System Activities Association has released its weekly coaches' polls and announced its Player of the Week Awards in Volleyball and Men's and Women's Cross Country.

Region 8 Players of the Week Awards (for all events/matches October 11-17)

Congratulations to the following student-athletes who received Player of the Week recognition:

  • Region 8 DI Volleyball Player of the Week: Alina Carrillo, Daytona State
  • Region 8 DI Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week: Arianna Rossi, Florida SouthWestern
  • Region 8 DI Volleyball Setter of the Week: Elly McInerney, Polk State
  • Region 8 DII Volleyball Player of the Week: Xiomara Williams, Lake-Sumter State
  • Region 8 DII Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week: Dariana Luna, St. Johns River State
  • Region 8 DII Volleyball Setter of the Week: Kayla Chambliss, Lake-Sumter State
  • Men's Cross Country: Andy Martinez, Daytona State
  • Women's Cross Country: Juliet St. Angelo, Daytona State

All Player of the Week honorees will be considered for NJCAA Player of the Week honors, which be announced Wednesday.
