TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (October 12, 2021) - The Florida College System Activities Association has released its weekly coaches' polls and announced its Player of the Week Awards in Volleyball and Men's and Women's Cross Country.

Region 8 Players of the Week Awards (for all events/matches October 4-10)
Congratulations to the following student-athletes who received Player of the Week recognition:
- Region 8 DI Volleyball Player of the Week: Elissa Alcantara, Florida SouthWestern
- Region 8 DI Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week: Deborah Ribeiro, Florida SouthWestern
- Region 8 DI Volleyball Setter of the Week: Luisa Melloni, Miami Dade
- Region 8 DII Volleyball Player of the Week: Cassidy Casey, St. Johns River State
- Region 8 DII Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week: Dariana Luna, St. Johns River State
- Region 8 DII Volleyball Setter of the Week: Mone Gordon, St. Johns River State
- Men's Cross Country: No men's teams participated last week
- Women's Cross Country: Maria Tibbetts, Pensacola State
All Player of the Week honorees will be considered for NJCAA Player of the Week honors, which be announced Wednesday.
