NJCAA Region 8 Basketball Notebook: November 20

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (November 20, 2018) – The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) has released its NJCAA Region 8 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Polls for November 20 and Player of the Week selections for games played November 12-18.

The next poll and player of the week selections will be released November 27.

NJCAA Region 8 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
Isiah Dasher, State College of Florida
Freshman - Guard
Jersey City, N.J. 

  • Averaged 22.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 0.3 steals and 0.3 blocks in three games during the voting period
  • Shot 71.8 percent (28-of-39) from the field, 57.1 percent (4-of-7) from the three-point line and 63.6 percent (7-of-11) from the free throw line
  • Helped the Manatees to a 2-1 week, including a win at South Georgia State, where the Hawks had won 72 of their last 82 home games
  • In his final game of the week, scored 28 points on 13-of-17 shooting and recorded seven rebounds and two assists in 73-71 win at South Georgia State, one of the Manatees’ biggest victories in the last decade

  • Averaged 20.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.0 steals in three games during the voting period; and averaged 36.0 minutes per game
  • Shot 50.0 percent (23-of-46) from the floor and 80.0 percent (12-of-15) from the free throw line
  • Led the Saints to three wins over Region 8 opponents, including one vs. nationally-ranked Pensacola State
  • Opened the week with 23 points, four points and four assists in a 24-point win vs. St. Petersburg; ended the week with 25 points on 11-of-18 shooting, three rebounds, four assists and two steals in a 77-67 win vs. No. 25 Pensacola State
