NJCAA Region 8 Baseball/Softball Notebook: April 17

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (April 17, 2018) – The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) has released its NJCAA Region 8 Baseball and Softball Coaches’ Polls for April 17 and Player and Pitcher of the Week selections for games played April 9-15. 

The next poll and player of the week selections will be released April 24.

  • Batted .375 (6-for-16) with four runs scored, one double, four home runs and nine RBI in four games during the voting period
  • Hit safely in the final three games of the week, all wins for the Patriots, who went 4-0 for the week
  • Was 3-for-4 with three home runs and five RBIs vs. Daytona State

  • Batted .412 (7-for-17) with seven runs scored, five home runs and eight RBI in six games during the voting period
  • Helped the Raiders to a perfect 6-0 week, hitting safely in four of the six games
  • Home runs came in four different games, including a two-homer, three-RBI game vs. St. Johns River State

  • Picked up complete-game victories Lake-Sumter State and Santa Fe, helping the Patriots clinch the Mid-Florida Conference Championship
  • For the week, she totaled 10 innings in the circle and allowed no runs, three hits, two walks and struck out 10
