TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (February 28, 2017) – The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) has released its NJCAA Region 8 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Polls for February 28 and Player of the Week selections for games played February 20-26.
This is the final Region 8 Coaches’ Poll for 2016-17. A final player of the week selection will be announced following the FCSAA State/NJCAA District VIII Tournament, which takes place March 8-11 in Ocala, Fla., at the College of Central Florida.

- Shot 65.4 percent (17-of-26) from the floor, hit one of two three-point attempts and three of five attempts from the free throw line
- Led Eastern Florida State to a 117-86 victory over Miami Dade

- Averaged 23.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 2.0 steals in two games during the voting period
- Shot 57.9 percent (11-of-19) from the field, 37.5 percent (3-of-8) on three-pointers and 68.8 percent (22-of-32) from the free throw line
- Had a double-double – 31 points and 11 assists – in the Bucs 108-100 win over Miami Dade
- Finished the week with 16 points in a win over Trinity Prep
