TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (December 13, 2016) – The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) has released its NJCAA Region 8 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Polls for December 13 and Player of the Week selections for games played December 5-11.
The next poll and player of the week selections will be released December 20.

NJCAA Region 8 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

- Averaged 29.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steal and 0.5 blocks in two games during the voting period
- Shot 55.9 percent (19-of-34) from the floor, 33.3 percent (3-of-9) from the three-point line and 78.3 percent (18-of-23) from the free throw line
- Helped Central Florida to a pair of wins in the Florida College’s Men’s Basketball Shootout, knocking off Broward and Indian River State
- Posted double-doubles in both games – 32 points and 11 rebounds vs. Broward and 27 points and 10 rebounds in the Patriots’ come-from-behind victory over Indian River State

Sophomore – Guard

- Averaged 29.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 4.5 steals in two games during the voting period
- Shot 55.3 percent (21-of-38) from the floor, 56.3 percent (9-of-16) from the three-point line and 87.5 percent (7-of-8) from the free throw line
- Led Florida State College to wins against Florida SouthWestern and Indian River State. In the 90-49 win over Florida SouthWestern, she scored 37 points on 13-of-23 shooting and 6-of-9 three-pointers – also had five rebounds, six assists and four steals. Followed that with a 21-point, five-rebound, eight-assist, five-steal effort vs. Indian River State
- Currently fifth in Region 8 in scoring (17.4 ppg)
